Ashley Oster

VP & DIRECTOR, MARKETING & PARTNERSHIPS

After going back and forth from the Southeast to the Pacific Northwest, Ashley landed in the Queen City to pursue her passion for efficient, kind and creative teamwork, as well as community involvement and advocacy. She began her career in government before transitioning to work in community affairs and philanthropic development (although she still dreams of being a Chief of Staff on Capitol Hill). Now, as our Vice President of Marketing and Partnerships, Ashley enjoys working with a determined group of (mostly female!) leaders, as well as thoughtful client organizations around the globe to spread the word on why employee relief programs are good for people and good for business.

A born and bred Tar Heel, Ashley graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with degrees in Organizational Communications and Romance Languages. Her love for language and all things sports is now mostly practiced with her two kids. Serving on community boards including the YMCA, U.S. Airways Education Foundation, and the Ballard Food Bank have been meaningful experiences for her to participate in advancing meaningful missions.

Most impactful experience

As the daughter of a nurse, Ashley has endless memories of the sacrifice and hard work of those in healthcare - memories that took on deeper resonance in the opportunity to work on the Brave of Heart Fund team in 2020 when the pandemic hit. "One of the greatest privileges of my career was speaking with Brave of Heart Fund grantee families who lost a loved one while battling on the front lines of the pandemic. I heard in their voices an admiration for their dedicated and full-hearted healthcare heroes and their relief to receive support during their time of grief."
