Twenty years ago, as the world watched the dust settle in New York after the worst terror attack in modern history, E4E Relief embarked on a mission to provide peace of mind and financial security to those impacted by 9/11. Now, as the world battles fires, hurricanes and a pandemic, we are steadfast in providing relief while growing and evolving to continue serving employees around the world.
Our twenty-year anniversary comes on the heels of our most impactful year to date. In 2020, on behalf of our clients and their employees, we weathered 29 hurricanes, 22 typhoons and over 48,000 wildfires worldwide alongside the raging pandemic. During that time, we received $214 million in donations and disbursed over $103 million to individuals spanning 97 countries around the globe.
Now our work is focused on what the next 20 years of employee relief looks like:
This Charlotte-based recovery grant program has major companies across the country buying in and building funds for their employees.
More companies are starting disaster relief funds to help companies after storms and other disasters.
CEO Holly Welch Stubbing speaks about the demands of preparing for the long haul while grappling with fast-paced growth - with a pandemic thrown in for good measure.
